Fleets & owner-operators
Keep units earning
Every day a tractor sits on a derate costs you loads. We turn filters around the same day and can quote a spare for your most common engine so the swap happens on your schedule.
Diesel pickup owners
Fix the light, skip the dealer wait
Check-engine light, frequent regens or a sudden loss of power? We'll tell you straight whether cleaning will fix it or the filter needs replacing, and what caused it.
Quick check
Clean or replace?
Tick what you've seen. This is a starting point, not a diagnosis; we confirm every filter on inspection.
How it works
From derate to done
Bring it in
Drop off the filter, or bring the truck and we'll pull it.
Inspect
We check for cracks, melting and contamination before quoting the job.
Clean or replace
Most filters are cleaned in 4 hours or less. If it's past saving, we quote a new unit.
Back to work
Pick it up or we reinstall it, and you're back on the road the same day.
How we clean
Aqueous cleaning. No high-heat bake.
We clean on a DCS20, the latest aqueous cleaning system built to OEM cleaning guidelines. Instead of baking your filter at high heat, a water-based cleaning solution and controlled flow lift ash and soot out of the channels, so the catalyst coating on your DPF, DOC and SCR isn't worn down by repeated high-heat cycles.
Inspect and measure
We check both faces for cracks, melting and oil or coolant contamination, and take a before reading.
Soak
A water-based cleaning solution loosens packed ash and soot. No torch, no harsh chemicals.
Flush
Controlled flow runs through the substrate and carries the ash out of every channel, not just off the face.
Dry
Dried completely before it goes back in service.
Verify
We test it again after cleaning so you know it's flowing the way it should before it goes back on the truck.
Why not just bake it?
| Bake and blow | Our DCS20 aqueous process |
|---|---|
| Repeated high-heat bake cycles | No high-heat bake |
| Heat can wear catalyst coatings over time | Catalyst coating left intact |
| Air knocks ash off the face | Ash flushed from the whole substrate |
| Mostly DPFs | DPF, DOC and SCR |
Answers
Common questions
How much does DPF cleaning cost?
Cleaning starts at $350. Larger filters and heavy loading can cost more; we'll give you the price after inspection, before any work starts.
How long does it take?
Four hours or less for most filters, because the work is done in our own shop.
Why won't a regen fix it?
Regens burn off soot. Ash is what's left after that burn, and it doesn't burn. Over time it fills the channels, and only cleaning removes it.
When does a filter need to be replaced?
When the face is cracked or melted, or the filter is soaked with oil or coolant. Cleaning can't repair a damaged substrate.
Will cleaning damage my DPF, DOC or SCR?
No. We clean on a DCS20, the latest aqueous cleaning system built to OEM cleaning guidelines, instead of high-heat baking, so the catalyst coating isn't degraded. We inspect every unit first and tell you straight if it's cracked or melted and can't be saved.
Do you work on pickups?
Yes. We clean and replace filters on diesel pickups as well as Class 8 and medium-duty trucks.
Do you price match?
Yes. Bring us a written quote from a local competitor for the same part and we'll match or beat it.
Do you clean DOCs and SCRs too?
Yes. We clean and replace DPFs, DOCs and SCRs. If a catalyst can't be cleaned back to spec, we'll quote a new one.
Do you stock gaskets, clamps and sensors?
Yes. We stock a full line of gaskets, clamps and aftertreatment sensors.
Are you a RECORE dealer?
Yes. We are the exclusive authorized RECORE dealer within 100 miles of Omaha, for DPF, DOC and SCR replacement.
Can you match my part number?
Send us the OEM number off the filter or your parts book and we'll cross-reference a replacement.
